Axelle Fine Arts is proud to kick off the winter season by presenting the Boston debut of Connecticut-based painter Hollis Dunlap. Dunlap’s brilliant light-infused renditions of both the figure and his pastoral surroundings have already distinguished the young artist as an extraordinary talent. Dunlap’s figural compositions recall the emotional propensity of the Baroque masters who inspire him. Dunlap uses dramatic lighting effects to create a theatrical, almost stage-like setting.
